Boots is about 24kg medium to large size nearly 2 years old. He loves to go for walks and play for short periods of time but also likes to rest and relax, preferably in a sunny spot! He is house trained and is a bright boy, eagerly sitting for a treat. Boots is a super boy who continues to amaze us with how he is coming out of his shell. He will make a fab companion in the right home...
When Boots arrived at Helping Hounds he had had little socialisation apart from being with his sister who was quickly adopted. He now loves his kennel friend Jasper but needs time to settle with new dogs. He would prefer a quiet house with no children as he can initially can be scared of strangers. He would suit someone who can give him time to settle in his new home and then he will be a loyal and fun loving companion. Please get in touch if you would like to meet Boots.
When I first met Boots he hid in his kennel and wouldn’t even eat the breakfast I gave him. He was scared of all the male volunteers and built himself a circle of trusted female volunteers. Then, along with other male volunteers he sees regularly, he suddenly put me firmly in his circle of trusted people and comes for attention, fuss and tummy rubs.
