REGISTER FOR GIFT AID

All you need to do is make a Gift Aid declaration.

gift Aid It.png

I am a UK taxpayer and I would like any donation I make in the future and have made in the past 4 years to be treated as Gift Aid donations, until I notify you otherwise.

I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

Please let us know if your tax circumstances or name and address details change so we can amend our records. Please email: finance@helpinghoundshampshire.com

Thank you for signing up for Gift Aid, it means that at no further cost, you can help us to keep our kennels open, our van running, our insurances up to date, and enable us to keep rescuing dogs in need.

MEET SOME OF THE DOGS AVAILABLE TO ADOPT

These are just 3 of our gorgeous dogs who are looking for a home to call their own. You can see ALL the dogs available for adoption here

Adopters are required to complete an application form, and have a successful home visit by the rescue prior to meeting a dog.

Our adoption donation is £495 and helps us cover the spay/neuter and rescue of another dog.

Rilie

Female

1 1/2 Years

Age:

Rilie is a lovely, playful, adorable little soul who has been through so much in her short life and really deserves her happy ever after. She is at our Grayshott kennels. Rilie has come such a long way since she was rescued from a Romanian pound and Lotus Stray Rescue would love to find a foster or forever home for her. Rilie needs to be homed with another dog as she looks to them for reassurance.

Florrie

Female

7 Months

Age:

Gorgeous Florrie is described by her foster family as a bundle of fun, excitement and love who they say has been a pleasure to foster and is genuinely one of the loveliest puppies/dogs ever. She loves curling up having a cuddle as much as she loves jumping around playing with her favourite toys. Florrie foster family includes 3 older dogs and 3 older children (teenagers) who she has won over with her loving personality and sense of fun. Florrie loves to explore, meet new people and dogs. Florrie deserves an amazing home as she is such a sweet natured, loving and affectionate girl, eager to learn who will be the most loyal companion. Florrie's foster family say she has fitted in with them seamlessly and are sure she will do the same when she finds the right forever home. She has been happy and comfortable in almost every environment that she has experienced. She can be a little nervous at loud unknown noise but soon settles as she takes in another new experience. Florrie particularly enjoys cafes and public places where she can watch and take in all the things going on around her! Florrie is still a puppy so any potential adopters will need to understand this, and provide her will the love and attention that a puppy requires. She needs a home who has time to continue her training, stimulation and ongoing socialisation. Florrie is now pretty much house trained and asks to go outside to toilet. She is good on the lead and walks well when out and about. Florrie has not been fully tested with cats, with her showing signs of excitement around them but no aggression. Florrie is a mixed breed, expected to be small to medium sized. She originally came to the UK from Cyprus along with several of her siblings and she has been fully vaccinated with negative blood tests for Leishmania and Canine Brucella.
But before you go...

If you've made the decision to add a canine companion to your family, but haven't fallen in love with the dogs we currently have here, don't give up on us! We get dogs coming through all the time, and rehome for local stray dog kennels too. Many of these dogs get snapped up before we even have a chance to put them on our website.

How? Well... they've completed our adoption application form and instead of putting the name of one of our current dogs, they've said "Any" and tell us about the sort of dog that would fit in well with their family. When the potentially perfect dog comes into our care, we call them first, before promoting the dog elsewhere.

These are some of the dogs we've recently rehomed in this way:

So if you're prepared to wait for the ideal dog, click the button below to get the ball rolling. We'll process your application. Our homing manager will call you to have a chat about your application and then arrange a home visit. This is so that the rescue is able to determine that we're all in agreement about the dog that will best suit your family, your lifestyle and your activity levels.

CAN YOU BECOME A FOSTER HERO?

Council stray dog kennels can hold a dog for 7 days, during which time they make best efforts to trace owners if the dog is microchipped or wearing a tagged collar. If unclaimed, they need to find them a rescue, because council facilities are inundated and simply don't have the space for them.

We want to help home as many of these dogs as possible, but we also have limited space in our kennels, so we need fosters to provide love and support in their homes, giving these dogs a chance at adoption, and helping them transition more successfully when their forever homes are found.

  • We will provide full support, and cover any veterinary and medication costs.

  • We will lend you dog beds, bowls, leads, harnesses and a crate if needed

  • We can also provide food if required, but many fosters prefer to cover this themselves, rather than have to collect from our kennels.

If you have time and space, please think about fostering. It’s a huge help to rescue centres that are flooded with dogs, some of which have never been left in kennels and are simply there because their owners are sick, or can’t keep them. Kennels are not fun places. They are cold and bewildering. But the alternative is worse. And as soon as one dog is rehomed there’s another 20 desperately needing the kennel space. Fostering is so rewarding, a lot of work but you get so much back and you’ll be helping a dog find its way to a new life. And rescued is the best breed!

- Helping Hounds Foster

Keep dogs like these out of kennels by providing love and support in your home, helping them transition more successfully to their forever homes.

FOSTER FOR US

foster for us

Fostering  is such a rewarding experience. We need foster homes for dogs that don't adapt well to kennels, and those that need to be brought along in an experienced home to get them ready for adoption.
