WORKING WITH DR SCOTT

Meet Cherry

We’re so thrilled to be working with Rescue Vet, Dr Scott and incredibly grateful for the care, kindness and support Cherry has received. ❤️
Cherry came to us via a local stray dog rescue after she was found wandering alone. We may never know how such a sweet little girl came to be abandoned, but we do know she deserved a second chance.
As a small volunteer-run charity, we often take in dogs who need far more than food, love and a warm bed. Some arrive with minor health issues, while others need significant veterinary treatment and surgery, just like Cherry. Our adoption fee only covers a fraction of what it really costs to rescue, rehabilitate and prepare a dog for a new life, so we’re grateful for the generosity of vets like Dr Scott and the hard work of our fundraising volunteers to bridge the gap so we can keep saying yes to dogs in need.
We’re so thankful to everyone who helps us do that — by donating, fostering, adopting, sharing our posts and cheering our dogs on.

This sweet French Bulldog arrived at Helping Hounds with a painful condition known as Cherry Eye—leaving both of her eyes in urgent need of care. Despite her discomfort, Cherry hasn’t lost her gentle spirit or her love for people.

See the update on Cherry's recovery, her next surger and find out if she has a forever home with her foster mum, Charlotte!

Foster dogs for us

Fostering  is such a rewarding experience. We need foster homes for dogs that don't adapt well to kennels, and those that need to be brought along in an experienced home to get them ready for adoption.
