Helping Hounds Hampshire is a Dog Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming charity with kennels based in Grayshott, on the Surrey and Hampshire Border. We are a volunteer-run charity, and we aim to help any dog we can – compassion has no borders.

Many of the dogs we rescue are living on the streets in Romania; cold, hungry and alone. We also support UK stray dog kennels and rehome dogs whose owners have had a change of circumstances.

With the help of our volunteers and supporters, we are able to provide dogs with care and find them forever homes. With your help, we can be there for ALL dogs in need.

We can't do it without you! We need volunteers at kennels, at fundraising events, and more! If you can spare a couple of hours a week, please apply!

foster for us

Fostering  is such a rewarding experience. We need foster homes for dogs that don't adapt well to kennels, and those that need to be brought along in an experienced home to get them ready for adoption.

ADOPT A DOG

Cute Dog

Potential adopters are required to complete an application form, and will need to have a successful home visit by the rescue prior to meeting the dog.

The adoption donation of £450 is non-refundable, and it helps us cover the spay/neuter and rescue of another dog.

Rosie

Female

6-9 Years old

Age:

Lurcher, Rosie was found as a stray. She's somewhere between 6 and 9 years old and has the sweetest nature. The team have absolutely fallen in love with her.

But before you go...

If you've made the decision to add a canine companion to your family, but haven't fallen in love with the dogs we currently have here, don't give up on us! We get dogs coming through all the time, and rehome for local stray dog kennels too. Many of these dogs get snapped up before we even have a chance to put them on our website.

How? Well... they've completed our adoption application form and instead of putting the name of one of our current dogs, they've said "Any" and tell us about the sort of dog that would fit in well with their family. When the potentially perfect dog comes into our care, we call them first, before promoting the dog elsewhere.

These are some of the dogs we've recently rehomed in this way:

So if you're prepared to wait for the ideal dog, click the button below to get the ball rolling. We'll process your application. Our homing manager will call you to have a chat about your application and then arrange a home visit. This is so that the rescue is able to determine that we're all in agreement about the dog that will best suit your family, your lifestyle and your activity levels.
