Helping Hounds is a Dog Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming group.
We are based in Grayshott, with fosterers in the surrounding area.
Our mantra is "Quality over Quantity".
We're not in a hurry to home our dogs, but prefer to give them the best possible start in their new life, and that means having them at kennels for as long as it takes to build up their trust, confidence and social skills.
WE ARE DEDICATED TO FINDING THE RIGHT HOME FOR EACH DOG
WE'VE BEEN RESCUING DOGS FOR OVER A DECADE
Our aim is to help any dog we can because we believe that compassion should have no borders.
Whilst many of our dogs come from rescue organisations in Europe, we care for and home UK dogs - so if you know of any dog in the UK that needs us, get in touch.
GRAYSHOTT KENNELS ARE THE FIRST UK HOME TO OUR DOGS
Our kennels, built 2 years ago are manned by an experienced group of volunteers.
A core-team (also made up of volunteers) works in the background taking care of the admin and technology.
We also run a popular Duke of Edinburgh program.
Although Helping Hounds was formed in 2020, our protocols and reputation are well-established.
We are still in the process of registering as a Community Interest Company, but didn't want to delay helping dogs until it was official, so please bear with us whilst we complete our set up.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
As a groomer, I volunteer my services when any of the rescue dogs need it. I adopted Obi in October 2020, the whole process couldn’t have been easier, the wonderful team at HH did everything they could to help me, however what stood out the most was the way that Obi and all other dogs were all so loved and cared for by everyone on the team, they couldn’t ask for a better start to their new lives.
I adopted Roux through Kate in 2015 when Kate rescued her and her two sisters. I fostered her, but fell hopelessly in love with her! I can highly recommend Kate and fostering a rescue dog for the ultimate reward. Have since fostered other dogs who have gone on to find wonderful forever homes!
