Rhea is a beautiful 3-year-old chocolate and toffee Pinscher weighing around 10kg. She gets on well and has lived with other dogs. Her forever home will need a confident resident dog. She cannot live with young children or cats.
In her foster home, Rhea is a calm, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa or in bed with her people. She also has a playful side and enjoys games both independently and with her humans.
Rhea is a clever girl who is food-motivated and would thrive with continued positive training and enrichment, which she clearly enjoys. She is eager to please and quick to learn, and already responds well to several cues, including sit, stay, touch, wait, come and leave it.
She is okay on the lead but is reactive to unknown dogs while on the lead, despite being friendly with them once she has had the opportunity to greet them. She can also sometimes be reactive to unknown people and unexpected fast-moving bikes. Her adopter will need the time, patience and commitment to continue building her confidence through positive training.
Rhea would be happiest in a home where someone is around for most of the day. She has formed a strong attachment to her fosterer and will need her new family to continue gently building her confidence when left alone.
She is fully house-trained and will even let you enjoy a lie-in without demanding an early morning trip outside!
Rhea is a much-loved favourite at the rescue. She is looking for a patient, understanding home that can offer her the stability, guidance and reassurance she needs. In return, you'll gain a loving, devoted companion who simply needs some help learning that the outside world is a safe place.
